The 35th Yorkshire Awards were held at The Queens hotel in Leeds for the first time on 1st March 2024.

The event had moved from Hilton Leeds City to allow for a bigger audience and 240 award winners, VIPs, special guests and members of The Yorkshire Society were not disappointed by a fantastic night comprising awards presentations, gala dinner and entertainment.

Yorkshire’s most prestigious awards were presented to NHS Yorkshire, John Burkhill, Yorkshire Tea, Angloco, George Webster, Tyrone Salmon, Kevin Sinfield CBE, Channel 5, Sheffield Sharks, Stephen Cottrell (Archbishop of York), Gabby Logan MBE and Timothy West CBE. A special award was presented to Sir Rodney Walker who started the awards back in 1988.

Lizzie Jones got the event off to a fantastic start and the Punjabi Roots Academy closed the event with a thrilling display of music and dance. Inbetween, money was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and Penny Appeal and the party continued in the Grand Pacific bar until the early hours, to round off a very successful event.

A full gallery of photos will be added soon, but here is a small selection of images from the evening:
