The winners of Yorkshire’s most prestigious accolade, the Yorkshire Award, have been announced.

Now in its 36th year, the Yorkshire Awards are the region’s most prestigious award given on behalf of the people of Yorkshire by The Yorkshire Society, a not-for-profit organisation for people who love Yorkshire that champions God’s own country and unites its North, South, East and West under the one name they all use with pride – Yorkshire.

Receiving the Lifetime Achievement award this time is world renowned chef Marco Pierre White who will be returning to his home city of Leeds to be honoured by a VIP guest list at the Gala Dinner being held on 7th March 2025 at The Queens Hotel.

The Yorkshire Awards is also an important fundtraising event and this year will be raising money for the new Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease (Leeds Hospitals Charity).

Since it was started in 1989, by Sir Rodney Walker, chair of the Awards’ committee, the Yorkshire Awards has raised over £300k for Yorkshire charities and good causes. And in recent years, the Awards and Gala Dinner event has evolved into a fantastic celebration of Yorkshireness with Yorkshire themed gourmet meal, special guest speakers and epic entertainment, making it a genuine night to remember, year after year.
