How Is The Yorkshire Society Managed?

The Yorkshire Society has two levels of management.

Under the life-presidency and supervision of Lord St Oswald, an executive ‘board’ Chaired by Sir Rodney Walker provides oversight and strategic decision making with the aim of keep the Society true to its cause: celebrating and promoting Yorkshire, and bringing the people of Yorkshire together,

Day-to-day operations of the Society, in line with strategic aims, are conducted by a management committee of members and volunteers lead by the Chief Executive who also sits on the executive board.

A not for profit Private Limited Company, limited by guarantee and registered at Companies House No. 11108399, The Yorkshire Society is entirely self-funded and receives no public money. It generates the revenue needed to cover its costs through membership fees, ticket sales and a limited amount of commercial activity ensuring it complies with laws of the land as necessary.
