A great social hike to the Cow & Calf rocks and Ilkley.
February 29, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pmFree
Society member Nicky Busby is taking us on another adventure into the Yorkshire countryside.
This lovely walk will take us through the pretty village of Menston and then along a walled lane and through fields towards Burley Woodhead.
We will head uphill onto Burley Moor and then we will skirt along the edge of Ilkley Moor which gives way to some spectacular views of Wharfedale below. We will have a short break at Cow and Calf Rocks, a large rock formation before continuing along the moor to White Wells, a spa cottage with a plunge pool. From here we will head North to Ilkley town centre where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a local ale at the Bar T’at Inn.

Distance: 5 miles
