Arthur Louis Aaron, who is Leeds’ only recipient of the Victoria Cross in WWII, will have a Yorkshire Society Blue Plaque displayed at the school he attended, to commemorate his life and achievements.
Following the unveiling of the plaque, there will be a short reading and dedication to Arthur, who has been an inspiration to so many Roundhay pupils. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay for a short reception at the school.
Photos and memorabilia from the school’s history will be on display, tours of the school offered and light refreshments served.
There will be also be a raffle in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice.
