We are pleased to announce that the 4th Yorkshire Heritage Summit will take place in South Yorkshire for the very first time.
Barnsley to be precise on Wednesday 25 March 2026 at The Civic; a significantly regenerated cultural space right in the heart of the historic market town, famed for mining, mills, markets and more.
Whilst the area has a rich industrial past and a state-of-the-art regenerated town centre, it is also surrounded by some beautiful countryside, with several museums, and our chosen venue is just 2 minutes from the rail & bus interchange.

Up to 40 organisations covering all aspects of Yorkshire’s history and heritage will be on display and ready to engage with the public and answer any questions. Meet the people who volunteer, why they do it and what they are achieving. See presentations, watch demonstrations and get involved – young or old, there’s something for everyone.
