Society corporate member, Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton, will soon welcome the arrival of its new canal barge restaurant, Graceful Swan.

Owned and operated by the award-winning hotel, Graceful Swan will bring a unique and stylish luxury dining experience to Yorkshire, and offer a new way to enjoy the tranquility of the Yorkshire Dales and the hospitality of the hotel’s owners, Malcolm and Karen Weaving.

The elegant, glamorous and well-appointed interior features sumptous upholstery, rich fabrics, soft lighting, art deco design and antique fixtures – for a classical design in a timeless style.

But what makes the Graceful Swan really special is that it is environmentally friendly and the first of its kind in the North of England.

Graceful Swan is a true pioneer in canal dining – out with diesel and in with electric, to produce a serene dining experience on the Leeds-Liverpool canal. First class food and drink is served as you float gently along the canal and watch the world go by, but when dusk falls the floodlights on the roof illuminate the vista on both sides of the canal, adding a feast for the eyes outside to the feast being served inside during evening cruises.

Whether it’s a special occassion, for a couple or group, or and exclusive party or themed event, we think Graceful Swan is a lovely addition to the options available in Yorkshire and we look forward to organising our own events on her when she is ready.

Sometime in April (2020) looks like the launch date, and we’ll let you know when we get confirmation.

In the meantim, for enquiries please contact or call 01756 700 100, and tell them The Yorkshire Society sent you.

Bon voyage, and bon appetite!
