The Yorkshire Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Lord Kirkhope of Harrogate as Vice President.

Lord Kirkhope co-Chairs the One Yorkshire committee with John Grogan, who is also a Vice President. He is a lawyer and politician who has previously served as MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber, and as MP for Leeds North East.

In accepting the invitation to become a Vice President of the Society, Lord Kirkhope said “I certainly would be honoured and delighted to join you”.

We look forward to working with Lord Kirkwood, in particular on issues related to devolution.
