The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Jane Dowson, was on hand to officiate over the unveiling of The Yorkshire Society’s plaque presented to professional services firm Turner and Townsend on 19th April 2018.

Councillor Jane Dowson said: “Yorkshire is a truly fantastic place to work and live, and we can be extremely proud that many businesses known right across the world are proud to call our county, home. I am delighted therefore to be given the opportunity to unveil this plaque from The Yorkshire Society recognising Turner & Townsend’s long-standing contribution to both Leeds and the county.”

The Yorkshire Society awards corporate plaques to businesses and organisations that have achieved a high degree of success worthy of the county’s recognition.

A relatively recent innovation of the society, plaques have previously been awarded to A W Hainsworth & Sons, The Royal Television Society and JCT600 with more to come as the society continues its search for Yorkshire corporate talent.
