Speakers announced for This is Yorkshire seminar

The speakers for our 24th February (2-4pm) online seminar ‘This is Yorkshire’, which we are organising in association with University of Hull and the One Yorkshire committee, have been announced.

The seminar, which brings together people from across the region and beyond to discuss a variety of topics relating to Yorkshire’s image and identity in the modern word, will be Chaired by our Vice President, John Grogan.

Speakers and their respective topics are:

Professor Richard Morris, University of Huddersfield.  Yorkshire’s cultural identity: a historical perspective

James Mason, Chief Executive Welcome to Yorkshire. Branding Yorkshire as a destination

Nicky Chance-Thompson, CEO Piece Hall. The Piece Hall as a Yorkshire destination

Kevin Sinfield, Branding Consultant.  The Yorkshire brand

Stewart Arnold, Hull University Business School. Yorkshire’s identity – real and imagined

Sally Joynson, CEO Screen Yorkshire. Branding Yorkshire for the TV & film Sectors

Mark Casci, Business Editor Yorkshire Post. The Yorkshire brand as part of the region’s economy

Dr Sarah Hickingbottom, Independent Bio-economy Consultant.  Yorkshire’s position in the UK’s bio-based and renewable economy

Yusuf Ukadia, Constituency Assistant (Office of Tracy Brabin MP).  Some perspectives on Yorkshire’s identity
