SPOTLIGHT ON YORKSHIRE

Yorkshire has a varied and rich tourist offer; its coast, countryside, pretty market towns and a wide variety of venues and attractions, underpinned by its unique heritage and  culture – but much of what Yorkshire has to offer is overlooked, missed or ignored through simple ignorance of its existence.

Following the closure of Welcome to Yorkshire, new government bodies (DMOs) are now responsible for the public sector’s visitor economy strategies and the provision of local destination marketing services but, with limited budgets, their focus rends to be on well-known places and attractions, so some of Yorkshire’s smaller or less well-known places of interest are not promoted or supported and, as a result, they miss out.

Spotlight on Yorkshire is an affordable solution to help them.
