NEWS UPDATE

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to accept that The Yorkshire Festival, which was being planned for 31 July and 1 August at The Piece Hall, can not go ahead as intended. Sadly, lack of time, space constraints, the volume of interest we’ve received and of course the ongoing covid pandemic restrictions are just some of the issues we face.

Rather than not do the event justice we have decided to continue the planning but for a ‘fully fledged’ Festival event in 2022.

The Yorkshire Festival is a new, important event in the Society’s annual calendar. The event is an opportunity for the people of Yorkshire and beyond to come together and enjoy a mix of Yorkshire’s finest hospitality, food and drink, music and entertainment, heritage, arts and culture – a celebration of Yorkshireness itself.

Every year now, in the summertime (dates to be decided), we will bring the best of Yorkshire together at The Yorkshire Festival for a great public party to celebrate and promote our unique Yorkshire heritage and culture. And everyone is invited.

We’ll publish more information and details as it becomes available.
