The Society is delighted to announce that David Hinde has been appointed its official Town Crier.
David, the official Town Crier Of Helmsley, North Yorkshire and a Member of The Ancient & Honourable Guild Of Town Criers is now the official Town Crier for The Yorkshire Society and also a Celebrity Town Crier, having been credited by Universal Pictures for his role as Walmington-on-Sea Town Crier in the Dads Army Movie (2016) and being chosen to appear the International Trailer 2 for the movie, leading the 450 strong St Georges Day Parade ahead of Captain Mainwaring and Company.
David has many key corporate clients and appears throughout the UK assisting events and promotions. David also set a new record for the world’s loudest recorded town cry at Sewerby Hall in 2013 at 114.8 decibels. David lives on the Flamborough Heritage Coast at Bempton village.
The Society will call on David’s services to add some formality and theatre to its events and special occassions. His first opportunity to demonstrate his star quality will be this year’s Yorkshire Awards, 12th October 2018, where he will be master of ceremonies.
