Did you know that Yorkshire has a thriving wine making industry?

Laurel Vines are just one of a series of vineyards and wine makers popping up across Yorkshire and are one of the founder members of the recently launched Yorkshire Wine Trail.

Laurel vines is an award-winning low carbon, low environmental impact vineyard with a Winery on site and based in the small hamlet of Aike in East Yorkshire – a very rural location based between the market towns of Beverley and Driffield.

They produce a range of quality wines, where possible everything is locally sourced. As would be expected from a Yorkshire wine, the wines are not fussy, but are clean and simple and owner Ian Sargent believes that they can compete with the best wines from England.

Laurel Vines is a family run business, with the whole family involved with growing the vines, harvesting the grapes and producing the wine.
